John Herd Tours offers boating tours in the back basins of Stone Harbor, New Jersey and Avalon, New Jersey. Tours include relaxing cocktail cruises as we explore the back basins and bayfront houses of Stone Harbor and Avalon. Tours also include visits to various dock-side restaurants such as the Lazy Bass and The Wharf in Wildwood, The Deauville in Strathmere, The Reeds in Stone Harbor, and The Lobster House in Cape May to name a few. Bachelorette Parties have become a staple. John Herd Tours also does Stone Harbor birding and nature tours! This would primarily involve birding in the winding salt marshes as well as in and around “bird protected” Stone Harbor Point. When birding, boating guests can count on seeing between 15-25 various bird species including egrets, skimmers, and osprey among others. Dolphin watching is another option with the mid-summer weeks as the most active time for our local mammals to be observed. Tubing is no longer an option because of insurance reasons, but anchor and swim opportunities as well as visits to Champagne Island in Hereford Inlet are options that appeal to kids. Text me at 610-804-9483 or email at jherd@me.com to inquire about availability and pricing. Prices range from $300 to $500 depending on the time and distance of the tour.
